PhaseLocked Systems is owned and operated by
Dr. Robert T. Short. Dr. Short has
over 30 years of experience in the
design and analysis of communication systems.
Dr. Short has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Utah, studied applied mathematics at Arizona
State University, and has a BSEE from New Mexico State
University (1975).
Dr. Short has worked for Motorola, Hewlett-Packard, and Sperry
Corporation (now L3-Com). He was a professor of Electrical
Engineering at the University of Utah, and has been
instrumental in the startup and success of a number of
wireless companies since 1994.
Dr. Short has had a number of his designs, both COTS and VLSI,
become production items. He has a number of seminal journal
papers, several key patents, and has been named a
distinguished alumnus. He recently contributed a chapter to a
book on ultrawideband (UWB) communications authored by Ghobad
Heidari, has several papers on UWB and OFDMA in the
publication process and is preparing an introductory textbook
on OFDM and OFDMA.
